Food Corporation of India/FCI often conducts selection process for candidates to Management Trainee positions. Management Trainee positions are offered in streams of Accounts, Technical, and Movement. Eligibility may vary with concerned stream. Selection process is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in written exam, group discussion and interview.

Eligibility Criteria for ‘Management Trainee’ Recruitment in FCI

Candidates applying for Management Trainee (Accounts) position must possess any of the following educational qualifications.

  • Chartered Accountancy
  • Associate member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (AICWA)
  • Master of Business Administration (Finance)

Candidates having ACWA qualification are also eligible to apply.

For Management Trainee (Technical), candidate must possess any of the following educational qualifications.

  • Bachelor degree in Agriculture
  • Bachelor degree in science (any stream)
  • Diploma in Food Technology

Those applying for Management Trainee (Movement) should posses any of the following educational qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream
  • Bachelor’s degree with master’s degree/diploma in management

Other than these qualifications, degree holders in any of the following streams will also be considered.

  • Business Management
  • Industrial Relations
  • Information Technology
  • Journalism
  • Mass Communication
  • Public Relations
  • Social Sciences
  • Training & Development

Apart from these educational qualifications, candidate should satisfy certain age requirements also. Maximum age limit ofr applicants must be 28 years.

Selection process for ‘Management Trainee’ in FCI

Selection of eligible candidates is done on the basis of written exam, group discussion and interview.  There will be two parts for the written exam, Part I and Part II. There will be 60 questions in each section to make a total of 120 questions. Part I comprises questions on technical knowledge. Part II includes questions based on the following topics.

  • Current Affairs
  • Data Analysis
  • Computer Awareness
  • General Awareness
  • Reasoning

Candidates who have qualified the objective model written exam will be short listed for group discussion. Successful candidates will be grouped for the next level of recruitment process i.e. personal interview.

Application form for attending the written exam can be collected from the web portal of FCI. This must be filled up carefully and submitted to the address of the head office of FCI. Candidate can apply for only one of the selected streams. Application fee for the test is Rs. 300/-. It must be remitted in the form of Demand Draft, taken from any nationalized bank of India.  DD taken in the name of Food Corporation of India should be payable at Mumbai. This DD must be sent along with the application form.

    i have done BA from EIILM UNIVERSITY sikkim through distance education program… should i fill up the form??? There are roumers that these universities are not recognized.. what to do plz help me in this matter…

    Good evening sir,i had completed my post graduation inlifescience (botany) but i am noteligible for m(t).in previous notification they asking life science graduate also but now they asking Btech. why dont eligible for that a lifescinece and one more thing sir ihave 3 years experience in food grains presevation that knowledge also useless? i get one doubt any fraud in qualification setting because in previous notification MCA candidate eligible for TA Gr III they dont any knowledge chemistry/biology and they never seen/study any insect/fungal life cycle .how they eligible like sme situation is going so i may think right fraud in recruitment
