Veterinary medicine is a special division of science. It transact with the application of medical diagnostic and therapeutic doctrine to animals. Qualifying Exam

The Bachelors course is for 5 years. This includes 4.5 years of course and a 6 month internship. As to get admission to Veterinary Colleges candidates are required to appear the entrance tests carried out by Agricultural and Veterinary Universities. This will be mostly through the States Level Joint Entrance Test or through a National Level Joint Entrance Test.

Some of the courses are, Animal Husbandry Diploma Program, Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, M.Sc. and Master of Veterinary Science. The admission to B.V.Sc and A.H. degrees are available to students who have completed their +2 in science subjects.

In most of the veterinary colleges an entrance exams carried out as to select qualified candidates in to their programs. Candidates have to score high marks as the admission in strictly based on merits. Another general qualification required to be successful in this field is the love for animals and their well being. Candidates must have good physical stamina as the will have to work with large animals.

Maintain good grades as the competition is very high due to limited acceptance rate. Even after the conclusion of veterinary degree, you need to continue education. The qualified candidates can decide to get a job with, private and public hospitals and clinics, sanctuary, parks and aviaries. Army and Border Securities also recruit veterinarians.
