An entrance exam is conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission called KPSC Lower Division Clerk Exam for the selection of candidates for the Lower Division clerk post in various departments under the State Government. LDC exam notification is released separately for each district.  Kerala Public Service Commission’s exams are generally considered as difficult. It is not so easy to get into the selection list. Millions of candidates are applying for the test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission in each district. This examination helps the candidates to get a government job in any department. Many candidates have a dream to enter into a government service.

Structure of KPSC Lower Division Clerk Exam

The candidates for the Lower Division Clerk Exam are selected by a written test conducted by Kerala PSC. The selection of the candidates is from the merit list on the basis of the reported vacancies. The written test consists of only objective type questions. There are only 100 questions asked in the LDC test. The candidates have to complete the exam within one hour and fifteen minutes. The questions of the test are asked in Malayalam/Kannada/Telugu only. The questions are mainly to evaluate the candidates’ English Language skill, mental ability skill, General awareness, regional language awareness etc. Those who pass the written test will find a place in the rank list. The candidates are appointed from this list based on their marks and reported vacancies.

Syllabus for KPSC Lower Division Clerk Exam

KPSC Lower Division Clerk Exam includes questions from four different sections. The questions are asked from the tenth level standard. The topics for the test are given below.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates require certain eligibility requirements for applying for the Lower Division Clerk Exam. The candidates must pass the SSLC or any equivalent exam for applying for the LDC exam. The age of the candidates must be between 18 and 40 years. The SC/ST candidates can apply for the direct recruitment for the post. The candidates who apply for the same post in more than one district will be rejected.

How to Apply?

The application form shall be submitted on line through the website www.keralapsc.org. All the guidelines for filling the application form will be available from the website. The photograph and signature of the candidates should be uploaded in the application form. No examination fee is charged for submitting the application form. The candidates should keep the barcode of the application form for further clarifications.

How to fill the Form?

There are several guidelines provided in the website for candidates regarding the filling of application form. The candidates have to fill the application form correctly with all necessary details. The photograph and signature of the candidates must be uploaded in the application form. The photograph and signature must be in the size prescribed in the exam notification. The date of birth and other personal details of the candidates should be filled correctly. The form should be submitted by the candidates before last date.  The application form should be filled by following all the prescribed guide lines otherwise the form will not be accepted
