Saiha District is one among the eight district in the state of Mizoram and the district is bounded on east and south by Myanmar, west by the Lawngtlai District, northwest and north by Lunglei District. The district is spread over an area of 1399.9 km2 and it has its headquarters as the town of Saiha. The district was formerly part of the Chhimtuipui District, which was split into half in the year 1998.
