A famous deemed University in India is NITTE University in Mangalore. It is a Government of India approved University. One of the most post graduate degree course offered by the University in MDS degree. This University offers various post graduate courses for the students in various institutes. The candidates who have a wish to pursue a Post graduate Dental degree after their BDS course can apply for this entrance test. The duration of the course is two years. Structure of NITTE University PG Entrance Test-MDS

For getting admission for the MDS course offered by any Institutes under NITTE University a candidate has to score 50% marks in the entrance exam. The entrance test is a written test of objective type pattern of questions. The test includes 200 multiple choice questions. The time given for the completion of the test will be of three hours. The test is to evaluate the skill of the candidates in the subjects studied in their BDS course. The marks for the written test will be of 200 marks. One mark is given for one question. No marks are reduced from the total marks for the incorrect answer.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have passed the Bachelor’s Dental Degree (BDS) by securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate can apply for the entrance test. The candidates must obtain the degree certificate from an institute recognized by the DCI. The candidates who have more than 45 years of age are not eligible for applying for the entrance test. The candidates who possess an Indian Nationality certificate are only eligible to apply for the test.

How to Apply?

The application form and information brochure will be released by the University in their website www.nitte.ac.in. The interested candidates can download the application form from the website. The candidates have to take the print out copy of the application form and can use it. The exam fee of Rs.1500/- should be paid in the form of Demand draft. It should be taken in favour of NITTE University.

How to fill the Form?

All the details for filling the form are mentioned in the exam notification. The candidates must read it and follow it for filling the form. Any incorrect information causes the debarring of the candidate from the exam. The candidate must fill the details of the fee payment method in the application form. The name of the bank, DD number etc. is very important. The application form without the candidates photograph and signature will be rejected. The form reached by speed post is only accepted by the University. The demand draft must be attached along with the application form.

Study Plan

The most important thing for getting good score in the exam is to develop a study plan. The candidates have to split the syllabus into different sections and complete each section within the time frame. It helps the candidates to get more confidence. Do not take long hours of study.
