Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has a wide network of buses and the network connects villages, towns and cities in the state of AP. Each and every town of the state has its own bus depot that have administration for planning and overseeing the operations. Their service is operated in the cities of Anantapur, Tirupathi, Warangal, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Karminagar and Hyderabad and even in the neighboring states of Goa, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Mechanical Supervisor Trainee and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the APSRTC in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Mechanical Supervisor Trainee

Number of Vacancies: 138

Reservation: Details regarding the reservation of 138 positions for different districts of the state and for different category of candidates can be obtained from the website of APSRTC at www.apsrtc.cgg.gov.in from the 18th of January 2012.

Period of Training: The training period will be for one year and during the period of training candidates will be getting a stipend of Rs.9280 per month.

Pay scale: Upon successful completion of training candidates will be appointed as Deputy Superintendent (Mechanical) in the time scale of Rs.9280-290-12760-320-19400-365-23780 plus usual allowances as admissible.

Eligibility requirements:

Education: Candidates must be diploma holders in mechanical or automobile engineering conducted by the technical education department of Government of Andhra Pradesh or its equivalent qualification in the same discipline. Even candidates with higher qualification like B.E/B. Tech or AMIE in the same disciplines are also eligible to apply.

Age: As on the 1st of July 2011, candidates must not be below 18 years and above 25 years, which is relaxable by five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for ex-servicemen in addition to the length of service rendered by them in defense service subject to a maximum of 45 years.

Application fee:

Fee to be paid to apply for the position of Mechanical Supervisor Trainee is Rs.400 for general category candidates and Rs.200 for reserved category candidates belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh. Fee should be paid only through AP Online Centers and on payment of fee candidates can get 12-digit journal number before submission of online application. Fee should be paid through online centers from 18th of January 2012 to 04th of February 2012 up to 5.00 pm.

After payment of fee, candidates will have to visit the website of APSRTC at www.apsrtc.cgg.gov.in and will have to fill up the relevant field and immediately on successful submission of online application, candidates will get acknowledgement in the form of downloadable PDF document. Online application should be submitted from 19th of January 2012 to 06th of February 2012 up to 5.00 pm
