Abbreviated as TPSC, Tripura Public Service Commission conducts different recruitment examinations for selection of candidates to different state services Tripura and commission also advices the government on principles to be followed in making promotions, transfers and appointments from one service to another.

Recruitment by TPSC:

Tripura Public Service Commission has invited applications from eligible candidates for taking up the Tripura Combined Competitive Examination for the purpose of recruitment of candidates for different government job positions in Tripura, which includes the position of of Panchayat Officer, Superintendent of Homes, Co-operative Inspector and Inspector (Food) to work for different departments and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the commission for the same:

Name of the Vacancy: Panchayat Officer, Superintendent of Homes, Co-operative Inspector and Inspector (Food)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 16, which is dived among the aforesaid vacancies as follows:

• Panchayat Officer, Gr. B, Non-gazetted under Panchayat Deptt - 01

• Superintendent of Homes, Gr. C, Nongazetted under Social Welfare & Social Education Deptt - 01

• Co-operative Inspector, Gr.C, Non-gazetted under Deptt. of Cooperation - 02

• Inspector (Food), Group-C, Non- gazetted under Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Deptt. – 12

Pay scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Panchayat Extension Officer Grade B will be coming under the pay band – 3  of Rs.9570-30000/- with Grade pay of Rs. 2600 and for other positions, candidates will be coming under Rs.5310-24000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2400.

Age: For all positions, as on the 10th of February 2012, candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 37 years of age and this is relaxable by five years for SC/ST/PH and government servants and government servants belonging to SC/ST/PH category will not get this relaxation over and above the general relaxation of five years available for their category.

Recruitment fee:

Rate of recruitment fee is Rs.100 and this fee is applicable only for reserved category candidates, while Rs.50 should be paid by candidates falling under ST/ST/BPL care holders and PH category.

Selection procedure:

Selection will be based on marks secured by candidates in TPSC combined examination, which will include three stages, preliminary examination, main examination and personality test. Candidates can collect guidelines for Tripura Combined Competitive examination for recruitment to miscellaneous posts from the reception counter of the TPSC Secretariat on cash payment of Rs.10 or it can also be downloaded from the website of the commission at www.tpsc.gov.in

How to apply:

Candidates will have to apply in prescribed format as given in http://www.tpsc.gov.in/Appl.%20Form.pdf or application can also be obtained from any of the total 111 number of extension counters of Tripura Gramin Bank located in different places of rural and urban areas in the state of Tripura on depositing of prescribed fee through the specialist deposit slip to the account number 14711 in favor of the Secretary, TPSC in the same Extension counter/branch as a single window system without any extra commission or charge from the candidates. In the case of other state candidates application form can be downloaded from the said website and these candidates will have to pay fee to the Account number 31176521319 of the SBI in favor of the Secretary, Tripura Public Service Commission. When submitting the application, the bank deposit receipt should be affixed with the application. Application must be submitted to the counter of TPSC Secretariat or it can also be sent through post to the Tripura Public Service Commission before the 10th of February 2012.
