Hospital profile: Situated in Delhi, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hospital is one of the reputed hospitals. It is a govt. hospital. It being a small hospital has good medical care facilities and some of the great doctors.

Job profile: The residents would be required to provide medical attention to the patients. They would also be required to support their senior doctors and prepare reports of patients and their details.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years for the post of a senior resident and 30 years for the post of a junior resident as on 30/9/09. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: For senior residents – A candidate must have a PG degree/diploma from a recognized university and have not completed the 3 years senior residency & must be registered with DMC. For junior residents – A candidate must have an MBBS degree and must be registered with DMC and a candidate must have not completed 1 year junior residency.

No. of posts: There are 49 posts in total out of which 28 are for senior residents and 21 are for junior residents.

Pay scale: The SRs will get approximately Rs18750 plus a grade pay of Rs6600 plus other allowances and the JRs will get Rs15600 plus a grade pay of Rs5400 plus allowances.

Selection process: The candidates have to appear for an interview. The date of interview for the SRs is 21st October 2009 and for the JRs is 22nd October 2009 at 9.00 AM.

How to apply: The candidates must apply as per the format given in the advertisement published in Hindustan Times (12th September). The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs200 (for GEN) and Rs100 (for SC/ST/OBC) in the form of a DD drawn in the favor of Medical Superintendent, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hospital. All the applications must reach the medical superintendent.
