The Indian Army has issued notification for the recruitment of law graduates to Judge Advocate General Department. LL.B degree holders with a minimum of 55% marks can apply. Age of the applicant must be between 21 and 27 years. Selection process is made through psychological test, medical test, and interview. Format of application form will be given in the job notification. Candidate can submit application in the specified format in typed or hand written method.

Eligibility Criteria for Law Graduate Recruitment in Indian Army 2013

Basic eligibility required is Indian nationality. Applicant must hold LL.B degree with a minimum of 55% marks. LL.B degree obtained must be of three year duration after graduation or of 5 year duration after 12th. Age of the applicant must be between 21 and 27 years. Other than this, aspirant must satisfy physical standards such as height, weight, visual standards, and permanent body tattoos.

Unmarried/married male and unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply. Minimum height required for men and women candidates are 157.5 cm and 152 cm respectively. Visual standards for distant vision better eye are 6/6, and that for worse eye is 6/18. Those who have undergone Radial Karatotomy to improve visual insight will be permanently rejected.

Recruitment Procedure of Law Graduates in Indian Army 2013

Initial screening process is carried out by the Director General of the Recruiting Directorate of Army Head Quarters. The right to shortlist applications and fix cutoff percentage of marks is decided by the Head Quarters of MoD (Army). Short listed candidates are asked to appear for further selection process conducted at the Service Selection Board. Further selection process includes psychological test and interview. Those who qualify psychological aptitude test are only eligible to attend interview. Selected candidates must submit the original degree certificate and matriculation certificate showing date of birth. Selected candidates are subjected to medical examination by the Board of Service Medical Officers. Those who are found medically fit are detailed for training. Final selection is made according to the number of vacancies available at the time of selection process.

Application Process for Law Graduate Recruitment in Indian Army 2013

Format of application form will be given in the job notification. Candidate must submit the application in the specified format in typed or hand written method. Filled up application form must be submitted along with photocopies of matriculation certificate and degree/provisional certificate. Registration certificate issued by Bar Council of India must also be submitted along with the application form. Applications must reach the destined address before last date.
