Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology was established by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab. The institute came into existence in the year 1995 with the aim of providing trained professionals in the arena of Textile and garment industry. Job Profile:

Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology is inviting applications from the eligible candidates for filling up the staff vacancies for the positions of Accountant, Administrative Assistants, Library Assistants and Lab Assistants. Candidates will have to serve the institute at Mohali and its centre at Ludhiana and Jalandhar.

1. Recruitment of Accountant:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: M.Com with atleast 50% marks in aggregate or Diploma in Computer Application from a reputed institute is required for the post. Candidates who have done B.Com with ist division are also eligible to apply.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3800.

2. Recruitment of Administrative Assistants:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Graduation with atleast 50% marks in aggregate or Diploma in Computer Application from a reputed institute is required for the post. Preference will be given to the candidates having higher qualifications.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5910-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

3. Recruitment of Library Assistants:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: M.Lib with atleast 60% marks in aggregate alongwith atleast one year experience in the relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3600.

4. Recruitment of Lab Assistants:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have done Matriculation with few years of experience in the relevant field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5910-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview test on the basis of their applications. The final selection of the candidates will be made only on the basis of their performance in the personal interview test with the selection committee. Candidates are advised to prepare well for the interview test.
