Dr. D.Y. Patil All India Entrance Test (AIET)-B.Tech is an entrance examination for bachelor and integrated Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering courses in DY Patil University. DY Patil University offers various medical and bio-engineering courses along with MBA. It is a highly reputed institute for medical and bio-engineering education.
For its various Bio-engineering courses like biotechnology, bioinformatics and biomedical engineering D.Y.Patil University conducts a separate entrance every year called AIET-B.Tech. A large number of students interested in bio-engineering courses apply for AIET-B.Tech every year. DY Patil University provides very good facilities, faculty, infrastructure and placement opportunities.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as subjects. Candidates should also have attained atleast 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Besides a candidates should be atleast 17 years of age during the time of admission.
Availability of Application forms:
Application forms for AIET-B.Tech will be available directly from DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai. The form can also be obtained by post by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft to DY Patil University. Candidates can also download the form from the University website and send it along with the demand draft.
Important Dates(Tentative):
Date of Entrance Test: Mid May, 2010
Availability of Application forms: April 1st week, 2010
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: May 2nd week, 2010
Announcement of results: By end of May, 2010
Counselling: June 2nd week, 2010

M.Tech Integrated in Biotechnology (MTI)-60 seats
B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering (BBE)-60 seats
Pattern of Examination:
The entrance test will be of 2 hours duration with 150 objective type questions divided in the followin sections:
Physics-40 questions
Chemistry-40 questions
Biology-50 questions
Mathematics-10 questions
Computers-10 questions
There will be no negative marking.
