AU AIMEE 2011
Annamalai University is one of the renowned names as far as education institutes are concerned. It is one of the respected institutes and every year thousands of students from various corners of the country are applying to be a part of this prestigious University. The university conducts an entrance exam called All India Medical Entrance Examination to admission to its medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BPT, BSc(Nursing) and B Pharm.
Infrastructure:
The Annamali University is spread over a large area and is well equipped with all sorts of modern equipment and features. The colleges provide all sorts of basic amenities and facilities to its students in order to impart best quality in education. Annamalai University is one of the oldest universities in India being established in 1928 in the state of Tamil Nadu. It provides higher education in various fields like social sciences, arts, literature, management, medical, engineering etc.
Availability of Application forms for AU AIMEE 2011:
The forms for AU AIMEE are expected to be available by March at the Annamalai University Cash Counter on all working days. The form can also be obtained by post from Annamalai University by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for the form.
Mode of Payment for Application Form:
Candidates that are interested in undertaking AU AIMEE can purchase the application form from any Cash Counter of the University on any working days, except, on Holidays. In order to purchase, application form through post, candidates can send a requisition form along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 300/. The Demand Draft has to be drawn against The Registrar, Annamalai University Annamalainagar 608 002. The interested candidates have to also put forward the registration number of the respective form at the top of the requisition letter without fail.
The candidates are advised to deliver their signature on the overleaf of the Demand Draft before they post it along with the requisition form. The University will not held any responsibility for the loss or damage of the application form during delivering process and the deliverance will be made as according to the normal procedure of Post.
Important Dates (Tentative):
Date of Entrance Examination: May 1st week, 2011
Availability of Application Forms: March 1st week-April 1st week, 2011
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: April 2nd week, 2011
Please note that the dates are only tentative and are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are officially released.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
Syllabus:
Candidates that are appearing for AU AIMEE can go for the same syllabus that are covered in the second year of the Higher Secondary Level belonging to the Tamil Nadu State Board and thus is in according with the requirements of the AU AIMEE standard.

3. B.P.T
4. B.Sc (Nursing)
5. B.Pharm
Pattern of Examination:
The examination will consist of two papers:
1. Biology (Botany & Zoology)
2. Physics & Chemistry
Syllabus will be from class 12th Tamil Nadu HSc. Syllabus.
Selection Procedure:
The selection of the candidates is based upon the result they bring out in their written examination. Apart from that the interview also carries marks in the final assessment of the selected candidates.
Final Selection is based on class 12th marks, entrance test and an interview as follows:
Qualifying Examinations – 200 marks
Entrance Examination – 100 marks
Interview – 30 marks
