Annasaheb Gundewar College was formed in the 1984 with the purpose of spreading education to the people residing in the north-west region of Nagpur. The college is coming under the jurisdiction of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, simply called as Nagpur University. The college is slowly developing itself as a large educational campus. The college has an exemplary academic record and apart from this, the students of the college are also showing their talents in extracurricular activities like N.S.S, debate, sports and games. The college has the honor of receiving the N.S.S. State award offered by the Maharashtra Government.

Courses Offered:

The college is offering under-graduation courses like B.A, B.B.A, B.C.A and B. Com in addition to post-graduation courses like M.A. and M.Com.  The college is also offering Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Commercial Application. In addition to these courses, the college is also offering University Grants Commission career oriented courses in export import management, insurance, e-commerce and basics of computer. The courses are offered under the faculties of business administration, computer application, commerce and arts.

The college is well equipped with facilities like library with reading chambers, computer lab and sports complex.

Achievements of the college:

Annasaheb Gundewar College students have made several achievements in the field of sports and education. In sports field, the college has produced state level, national level and international level players in games like chess, hockey, kabbadi, Cricket and wrestling. In the field of education, the performance of the students of this college has been excellent right from the first academic year of its inception. More than 20 students of the college have acquired university rank in courses like M. Com, M.A. Marathi and M.A. Sociology.
