The XLRI School of Business and Human Resources conducts the Xavier Admission Test (XAT) for the admittance of students into the Postgraduate Management Courses of the XLRI besides sixty other institutes of management. Candidates are normally required to appear for the exam in the month of January. The XAT exam has duration of 140 minutes and its questions will include topics like Communicative English, General Awareness as well as Reasoning & Quantitative Ability. The selection on the candidates is done on the basis of their marks scored in the examination. Those candidates who are chosen would be called later for an interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have finished their Bachelor’s degree from an acknowledged college or university are qualified to appear.  Furthermore, candidates who are doing their third year can submit an application for the XAT exam too.

Application Procedure

Candidates can apply for the XAT exam either by the online method or the offline method.

Online Method

Candidates can download the XAT application form and the brochure from the authorized website of the XLRI. The finished application form should be sent to the office of the XAT along with the relevant documents. A Demand Draft of the requisite amount should be attached with the application form.

Offline Method

The application form can be obtained either from the branches of the Axis Bank or by post. The application fee for the general candidates is Rs. 900 whereas the fee for the SC/ST/OBC categories is Rs 600/-. Candidates who wish to receive their forms by post must send a request letter to the XLRI along with a DD of the required amount. The application form should be sent to the XAT office as soon as possible.

Candidates must remember to write down their contact address and telephone numbers in the reverse of the DD. They should also indicate the institutes where they wish to apply for through the XAT exam

How to fill the application form?

• The Candidates ought to read the brochure before filling the form.
• The candidates’ should fill the form in English only.
• The candidates must fill the form only in capital letters.
• The candidates should use only black or blue pens when they fill the form.
• A recent photograph of the candidate should be pasted in the space provided.
• The candidate ought to provide their signature at the given space.
