Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) was set up in 1973. The institute comprises all the educational institutions of Dayalbagh, including the School of Art and Culture, the School of Comparative Study of Religion, and the School of Languages. In the year 1975, which is marked as an important year in the history of the institution, it created an innovative and complete undergraduate programme that received approval from Uttar Pradesh Government and the University Grants Commission.
