Ministry of Civil Aviation is the nodal ministry responsible for formulation of programmes and policies for the regulation and development of civil aviation for implementing and devising for the orderly expansion and growth of civil air transport. Its functions also extends to overseeing carriage of good and passengers, air traffic services and airport facilities by air. The ministry administers implementation of Aircraft Act 1934 and it is responsible for the railways safety.

Recruitment by Ministry of Civil Aviation:

The Director General of Civil Aviation invites application from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Director (Operations) on contract basis and the positions are available at different regional offices of DGCA:

Name of the position: Assistant Director (Operations)

Number of Vacancies: 32 posts (SC-05, ST-03, OBC-09 and Unreserved – 15)

Remuneration: Rs. 3,60,000 per annum

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering in any of the streams like Electronics/Electrical/Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized university/equivalent. Even candidates with Master’s Degree in Science in subjects like physics/electronics are eligible to apply.

Age limit: The maximum age limit of candidates is 65 years

Experience: Candidates with three years experience in any of the following disciplines can apply:

• Aircraft flying with CPL

• Licensing of air transport/flight crew/aerodrome

• Air traffic control with ACC/APP/ADC ratings

• Management of international civil airport/airside operations

• Flight operations department of a scheduled airlines

• Aircraft flying in defense services
