Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was established with the merging of two public service commissions namely Andhra Public Service Commission and Hyderabad Public Service Commission. Andhra Public Service Commission was formed out of the erstwhile Madras Public Service Commission Regulations and Hyderabad Public Service Commission followed the Hyderabad Public Service Commission Regulations 1952. Thereby, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was formed by bringing together the regulations of two of these commissions after the formation of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has invited applications online applications in prescribed format from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Executive Engineers in Tribal Welfare Engineering Service in Civil/Mechanical Engineering Branch and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the commission in this regard:

Pay scale: Candidates will be coming under the pay of Rs.16150-42590.

Eligibility requirements:

Education: Candidates must be UG degree holders in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a university incorporated and established in India and recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Mode of Selection:

Performance of candidates in written test will be the criterion for their selection. The minimum qualifying marks for selection are 30% for ST/SC/PH, 35% for BCs and 40% for OC candidates.

Application fee:

All candidates will have to pay Rs.100 towards application processing fee and candidates, who are not exempted from payment of fee will also have to pay Rs.120 towards examination fee. Fee should be paid through AP Online centers or SBI and after payment of fee, candidates will have to obtain fee paid challan with journal number, which should be filled on online application. Fee should be paid before 21st of May 2012.
