Health and Family Welfare Department comes under the control of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The ministry is headed by a secretary to the Government of India. Department of Health & Family welfare is one of the department in Minsitry of health and Family Welfare and the other departments are Department of Ayush, Department of Health Research and Department of AIDS control. The department has an attached office with it named Directorate General of Health Services. The directorate provides technical advice on all medical and public health matters.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the following positions of Teaching faculty i.e. Assistant Professor in various hospitals/Medical institutes of Delhi Government. The recruitment of eligible candidates will be made only on contract basis only. The position of Assistant professsor is available in the field of Anaesthesia, Biochemistry, ENT, Forensic Medicine, Microbiology, Psychiatry, Pathology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, radiology, Radiotherapy, Skin & V.D., Neonatology etc.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the post i.e. 45 years. The maximum age limit is 35 years in the case of posts of Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology). Relaxation in the maximum age limit is available for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories as per the rules of Central Government.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess a recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates should also have post graduate degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI or equivalent with atleast three years of teaching experience in the concerned speciality.

Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 63000 per month will be given to the selected candidates.

General and OBC categories candidates: Rs. 1000 only.
No fee is required to be submitted by SC/ST candidates.
