Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission was established under the Government of India. It was actually established under Article 318 of the Constitution of India. The commission was established on January 25, 1971. Initially, before the establishment of the Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission, the needs of the state of Himachal Pradesh were served by Union Public Service Commission. However, Union Public Service Commission was relaxed from the responsibility after the establishment of Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission.

Himachal Pradesh (HP) Public Service Commission is lloking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates on the following positions of Assistant Professor (Pharmacy), Scientific Officer (Physics and Ballistics), Deputy Director, Assistant Geologist, Assistant Engineer (Environment) and Assistant District Attorney.

1. Recruitment of Assistant Professor (Pharmacy):

Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000-18300 per month.

2. Recruitment of Scientific Officer (Physics and Ballistics):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4400.

3. Recruitment of Deputy Director (Zila Sainik Welfare):
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10300 per month.

4. Recruitment of Assistant Geologist (on contract basis):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10830 per month.

5. Recruitment of Assistant Engineer (Environment):
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 7750-14500 per month.

6. Recruitment of Assistant District Attorney:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 7000-10980 per month.

Age Limit:

The maximum age limit set for all the above specified positions is 45 years as on 1 January 2011. Those candidates, who belongs to SC/ST/OBC/WFF/Persons with Disabilities categories of Himachal Pradesh, will get relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit. Government Employees and Ex-Serviceman of Himachal Pradesh will also get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 250 only is need to be submitted by the General candidates. Rs. 63 is need to be submitted as application fee by SC/ST/OBC candidates of Himachal Pradesh. Candidates can submit the application fee by the means of payment challan or Bank Draft. The bank draft should be drawn in favour of Secretary, H. P. Public Service Commission, Shimla-171002 payable in any branch of a Bank at Shimla.
