LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health stands for Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi regional Institute of Mental Health. The institute was established in the year 1876 under Government of India. The institute is considered to be one of the oldest mental health care institute present in India. The institute is located at the Sonitpur District of Assma. The institute has a green campus spreaded in an area of approximatley 81 acres. The institute offers various post graduate courses to its students and it also has a research center which aims to meet the manpower requirements of the region.
Job Profile:
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the vacant teaching positions of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health. Only Indian Citizens are invited to apply for the specified faculty positions. The posts of Assosciate Professor and Assistant Professor are available in the departments of Psychiatry, Radiology, Neurology, Pathology, Microbiology and Biochemistry.
Eligibility:
For applying for both the posts of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, candidates are required to have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit. The maximum age limit or upper age limit set for both the specified teaching positions is 45 years i.e. candidates are required to have age less than 45 years or else they would not be considered eligible for applying in LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health.
Educational Qualification:
All interested candidates are required to possess MBBS degree from a recognized institute or university. Post garduate degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university or institute or equivalent.
Associate Professor: Minimum 5 years experience as Tutor or Senior Resident or Lecturer or equivalent is need to be possesed by the candidates. Out of 5 years experience, candidates should have minimum 2 years experience as Assistant Professor.
Assistant Professor: Candidates are required to possess minimum 3 years experience in the concerned speciality or discipline as Demonstrator or Lecturer or equivalent.

Associate Professor: Only 4 posts are available.
Assistant Professor: Only 14 posts are available.
Pay Scale:
Associate Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.
Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
Application Fee:
Interested candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100 for applying for any of the two specified posts. The payment of application fee must be done in the form of a bank draft drawn in favour of the Director, LGBRIMH, Tezpur only.
