The Madras Service Commission came into action under the Madras Legislature Act, 1929 came to be known as Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) later. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is regulated by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Regulation, 1954. The main responsibility of the TNPSC is to recruit suitable candidates for State, Subordinate and Ministerial services through written examinations and interviews.

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 yrs and the maximum age limit is 30 yrs.

The candidates can also obtain the OMR application form in person from the sales counter of the office of the TNPSC, Omanthoorar Government Estate, Chennai- 600002, on payment of the application fee. Candidates can download the application from the TNPSC’s website.
