B. Sc in Oceanography is a bachelor level course. This branch of science is growing at a very high speed in the present time and as well as gaining the popularity in the field of research science and technology. B. Sc in oceanography mainly includes the topics like study of the under water world i.e. about the living as well as the non-living creatures, volcanic eruptions taking place under the water, extraction of the mineral and other valuable things from the ocean basin and also deals with the environmental technology to stop the contamination of water. There are two types of Oceanography one is Physical and another one is the chemical Oceanography.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for pursuing B. Sc in Oceanography is that one should have passed his/her higher secondary exam from a recognised board and should have the pure science stream at 10+2 level (Physics, chemistry, mathematics) and also one should have secured a minimum of 50% in 10+2. The minimum age requirement for doing this bachelor level course is 17 years.

Course Outlook

B. Sc in Oceanography is a three year bachelor degree program. These three years are divided into three parts comprising of one year each. At the end of each year one has to pass in the main university exam for being promoted to the next year.
