Degree of BDS is a reputed degree which is commonly known as Dentistry and this is a good job area as there is lots of scope in the sector. After completion of degree the candidates can also do practise on his own. The pharmacology is a field which deals with the study of interactions between the living organs with the different chemicals.

Paper Pattern:

The paper of General and dental Pharmacology contains 6 questions in it and all of these questions are necessary to be attempted. The paper contains questions of equal marks except from the 1st question which is of different marks. Each question is divided into 2-3 sub-questions for the comfort of the students. The paper also contains questions which are needed to be solved with sketches with naming the diagram. The paper does not have any substitute questions. Also, there are some short notes in the paper.

The paper contains questions such as General principles of pharmacology, Autonomic drugs, Vitamins: Water soluble vitamins, Vitamin D, Vitamin K and Vitamin E, Chelating agents, Chemotherapy: Antimicrobial agents, Autacoids: Histamine, prostaglandins, antihistamines, leukotriene and bronchodilators, G.I.T. Drugs, Purgatives, anti-diarrhoeal, antacids, anti-emetics, Endocrines; Treatment Emphasis of diabetes along with glucocorticoids, treatment of thyroid and ant thyroid agents, Anti - septic, astringents, Pharmacotherapy of common oral conditions in dentistry, bleaching agents, styptics, disclosing agents, dentifrices etc.

Marks and time:

The paper is assigned with the total of 50 marks in the paper and time allotted is 3 hours only. The paper does not give a chance to score the full marks in it.
