Bijou College of Education began its educational journey with Bachelor of Education course from the academic year 2005-06 and in the following year (i.e.) from the academic year 2006-07, the college introduced Diploma in Education course. These courses are offered by the college with affiliation from the Jiwaji University located in Gwalior. The college is working effectively under the able-guidance of the Farida Education Society.

Bachelor of Education:

This course offered by the Bijou College of Education is meant for preparing teachers for senior secondary schools. This course is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education and it is affiliated to the Jiwaji University. The college is permitted to admit 100 students per year for this course and eligibility for seeking admission to this course is degree with not less than 50% of marks and the course extends to a period of one year. The course is offered both in English and in Hindi medium and admissions are done based on the norms fixed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh from time to time.

Diploma in Education:

Bijou College of Education is permitted to admit 50 students per year for the Diploma in Education course and eligibility for seeking admission to this course is higher secondary with not less than 45% of marks and the course extends to a period of two years. The course is offered both in English and in Hindi medium and admissions are done based on the norms fixed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh from time to time.

Sport facilities in the college:

Bijou College of Education has excellent facilities for indoor games in the form of separate space for table tennis and chess. There is also an open field with bounded wall for practicing basketball and students of the college are encouraged to take part in various sports and games under the guidance of sports expert working for the college.

Cultural Activities:

In addition to education and sports, the students of the college are also encouraged to take part in different cultural activities that are held throughout the educational session. The college has a big seminar hall where co-curricular activities, cultural activities and debates are conducted throughout the year.
