Admission Process for B.Tech in IIT Chennai

The admission to B.Tech courses in the institute is based on the entrance test, JEE carried out by the IITs. Those candidates who have pursued a pass in 10+2 board examinations or equivalent can apply for this test. Also the minimum percentage should be at least 60% in aggregate in these examinations. The foreign candidates are also eligible for the test provided that they should satisfy the entire qualification criterion. JEE is like all other entrance tests, which includes objective type questions. The test is mainly organized to evaluate the candidate’s comprehension and analytical abilities.

Fee structure of B.Tech in IIT Chennai

The fee structure for B.Tech course in the institute is economical and thereby affordable. For general candidates it is Rs.27, 850/- per semester. However the reserved candidates will get concessions in this structure.  If any candidate wishes to use the hostel facilities then an additional fee of Rs.13, 750/- have to be paid per semester.
