Campus placement of Mahindra Satyam is usually a three stage process. It includes the written test, technical round and the HR round. Aspirants need to prepare well for these three stages to come out successful in the placement process.

Selection Procedure

The recruitment process follows a fixed pattern. The placement process of Mahindra Satyam is usually a three stage process which consists of:

  • Written Test
  • Technical Round
  • HR Round

The written Test consists of the following sections:

  • Verbal ability
  • Aptitude and Reasoning

The verbal ability section contains 100 questions. Candidates are required to answer this section in 40 minutes. Each question carries one mark. Questions based on Basic English grammar, comprehension, etc will be asked in this section. Questions on prepositions, articles, tenses etc will be asked from Basic Grammar. This section will also contain error correction; fill in the blanks and reading comprehension questions. The question paper will be based on the CAT/GRE model.

The Aptitude and Reasoning section contains 70 questions. The time limit to answer these 70 questions is 40 minutes. This section covers questions in the following areas:

  • Analogy
  • Calendar
  • Coding-decoding
  • Direction sense test
  • Mixtures
  • Partnership
  • Percentage
  • Problems on trains
  • Profit and Loss
  • Series Completion
  • Time and distance
  • Time and work

Candidates who qualify for the written test will have to appear for the Technical round. Questions in this round will be based on the candidate’s area of specialization. A thorough knowledge of the core subject is required to successfully clear the technical round.

The final stage is the HR round. The candidate’s behavior and personality will be evaluated in this round. Candidate’s interpersonal relationship, the ability to handle stress etc will be tested. This round may contain hypothetical situations that test the candidate’s reaction to situations, patience to handle problems and intelligence and emotional quotient. Questions regarding the candidate’s project and area of specialization can also be expected.

Preparation Tips

Aspirants can work out previous year’s placement papers. Section wise practice tests are available. Each section should be given due importance. Candidates can identify weak areas and work accordingly. Candidates can also try out previous CAT/GRE papers to prepare for the verbal and reasoning section. Improving time management skills is an important factor. Each section is required to be completed within the prescribed amount of time. Reference books should also be sources and used for the preparation.

For the technical round, candidates are expected to prepare well in the core subjects. Candidates should revise the concerned subject area. Presentation is important for the HR round. Exhibiting traits like Confidence, honesty, and passion can help a candidate to clear this final stage.

    my name is mani…..mahendra satyam conducted off campus in ies domain in 2011 november.i was one of the candidates who got selected in the campus.in the month of april 2012have given me letter of intent which they have asked me to sign.i have posted the letter to them after that in 2012 october they have taken backgroud verification it almost 1 and half year back we have selected till now no offer letter.whetn ever we call hr he is saying it will take some more time.this is the rotine dialogue from him………………….
    this case halppend in 2008 for those people they have not given offer letter till now.i think its the case for us also………dont believe mahendra satyam management .luckily i got selected in small company…………..only company playing these kind of tricks on students…………..dont waste your time………………………………they will waste students time like that not allowing to apply anywhere,till the time they are in need they will hold students like that..they dont inform to students about not giving the offer letter
    because students might file case against them……………………………………..
