Structure of Central Institute of Psychiatry Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology)/ M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology) Entrance Exam
Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology)/ M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology) Entrance test is carried out as an objective type one. There will be a total of 100 questions. The time allotted for the candidate to answer the test is 60 minutes. The questions will be based on the standard of the qualifying master’s level course. There will be negative marks for each wrong answer.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criterion mentioned for Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology) and M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology are different. The candidate who applies for Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology should possess any of the following qualification.
- M.A /M.Sc (Psychology)
- M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology/ Clinical Psychology
The qualification must be obtained from a recognized educational institution with first class marks.
Those who possess M.A /M.Sc. degree in Psychology from a recognized
University with minimum 50% marks (in the aggregate) can apply for M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology.
How to Apply?
The application for Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology)/ M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology) should be submitted through online method. Before starting the application process, the candidate should remit the fee amount for attending the entrance test. The amount of Rs. 400/- must be paid in the form of Demand Draft only. The entrance fee will be Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates. This must be taken in the name of Director, CIP, Ranchi. After submitting the application through online method, the hardcopy of the same must be posted to the mentioned address. They must send the DD along with the application through registered post or via directly.
