Civil Services Main Examination: Anthropology (Paper I) Papers

Anthropology is one of the subjects in the civil services examination, which you can choose from as your optional subject. This subject is taken by many who have studied it in the graduate level or who think they can excel in it. There will be two papers on the subject in the main examination. Both the papers are conventional papers. The pattern of the paper I is given here.

The question paper of anthropology comes in both English and Hindi. Students can write in the language of their choice, but it has to be specified before. The exam is of three hours time duration and carries a maximum of 300 marks. The question paper is sub-divided into two sections and each section consists of four questions. The first question of each section is compulsory. Students can answer any three questions, taking minimum of one question form each of the sections. All the questions are of equal marks and each carries 60 marks. The questions can be divided into smaller parts. One should remember that this is no academic exam and thus one should study as much as one can. The exam is no doubt, very tough but if the strategy and the effort is up to the mark is definitely conquerable.
