Clerk, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board)
Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board) came into existence on May 26, 1961. The board was established under Government of India. The board actually came into existence under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961. The board also acts as a body corporate as well as a local authority by the name of the State Agricultural Marketing Board. The board actually acts as a responsible as well governing body for controlling and supervising the marketing network of sale, purchase and storage of agricultual produce.
Job Profile:
Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply for the recruitment to the post of Clerk in Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board). Only eligible candidates should apply for the post in the prescribed format. Selected candidates will be posted in the state of Punjab.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the post of Clerk is 18 years as on 1 January 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Clerk is 37 years as on 1 January 2011.
The upper age limit set for the specified post is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST categories candidates and by 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.
Educational Qualification:
Graduation with atleast 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized board is required as the minimum educational qualification for applying for the post of Clerk in Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board). Candidates should also qualify a test in Punjabi Typewriting (30 words per minute). Candidates possessing a Computer Information Technology course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses, Government of India, are also eligible for the post.

Application Fee:
No application fee is need to be submitted by the candidates for applying for the post of Clerk in Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board).
Selection Process:
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the written test on the basis of their application. The final selection of candidates will then be made purely on the basis of the written examination that will be held on a specified date. There will be no personal interview test conducted for the post of Clerk.

Candidates should submit the online application on or before the last date for the online application i.e. 6 June 2011 at CDAC Mohali website. Candidates are also required to retain the printout of the completed application form for future reference.
