Bihar Staff Selection Commission was established under the Government of India. The major objective behind the establishment of the commission was to have a responsible body for organizing competitive written as well as personal interview examination for making the recruitment of eligible candidates on the government positions. The commission mainly performs the operation of conducting examination for the Government positions available in the state of Bihar.

Job Profile:

Bihar Staff Selection Commission invites application from Indian Nationals for the vacant posts of Clerks in various Government High School. The recruitment of the eligible candidates will be made through the conduct of a competitive examination.

Eligibility:

All interested candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit set for the specified post. Candidates not fulfilling this age criteria, are not required to apply for the respective post in different Government High Schools. Applications recieved from uneligible candidates will not be considered by the commission at all.

Educational Qualification:

Atleast 60% marks in aggregate in the 12th standard from any recognized board is the minimum educational qualification required for the post of Clerk. Candidates, who have done graduation in any stream, are also invited to apply for the post. Candidates with good computer knowledge are desirable for the post.

For General category candidates: 91 posts.
For SC category candidates: 13 posts.
For ST category candidates: 38 posts.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get Rs. 3050-4590 per month as salary.

Application Fee:

Rs. 200 is the application fee that is need to be submitted by the candidates willing to apply for the post of Clerk through Bihar Staff Selection Commission. Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by SC candidates of Bihar only. The application fee must be submitted in the form of a Indian Postal Order that should be drawn in favour of Secretary, Bihar Staff Selection Commission payable at Patna.

Selection Process:

A competitive written examination will be conducted by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission for making recruitment on the post of Clerk. Successfull candidates of this written test will then be called for a personal interview test. The final selection will be made only the basis of the performances of the candidates in both the examination.

How to apply: Candidates can obtain the application form in the prescribed format from Head post office of the District of Bihar by the payment of Rs. 100 in cash. SC candidates are required to pay only Rs. 50 for this. The application form must be sent by Registered post or speed post only. Also the application must reach on or before the last date for the reciept of application.
