Common Premedical Entrance Examination (CPMEE) is one of the reputed tests conducted by the Government of India for providing admission to the aspiring candidates into MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS. Uttaranchal Council of Entrance examination, association formed by the private unaided Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic colleges of Uttarakhand would be conducting the Common Pre Medical Entrance Examination.

There are eight colleges in the medical genera that are affiliated to the Entrance exam. However out of the eight college, only one institute offer MBBS course, three institutes provide BDS(Dental), three provide BAMS(Ayurvedic) and one provide BHMS(Homeopathic).There are around 100 seats reserved for MBBS and then there are 50 seats dedicated to other program in different institutes that are affiliated to the entrance exam conducted by Uttaranchal Council of Entrance examination.

The entrance exam particularly aims at providing admission assistance to those institutes that are unaided and thereby enhancing education in the state.

Institutes which provide admission on the basis of CPMEE:

• SGRR Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Dehradun (MBBS) 100 seats

• Seema Dental College and Hospital , Rishikesh (BDS) 100 seats

• Sri Narayan Swami Hospital and Dental College, Dehradun (MBBS, BDS) 100seats, 50 seats resp.

• Uttaranchal Dental and Medical Research Institute, Dehradun (BDS) 50 seats

• Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College, Dehradun (BAMS) 50 seats

• Himalayiya Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital Rishikesh (BAMS) 50 seats

• Chandola Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Rudrapur (BHMS) 50 seats

Eligibility criteria:

• Candidate must be more than 17 years of age to be eligible for this course, that is he or she should have born on or before 31st December, 1993.

• Candidate must have cleared 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least 50 % aggregate from the recognized board to be eligible for this course.

• Candidate currently pursuing in 12th class are also eligible for this course.

For candidates that belong to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe have to secure only 40% in aggregate form in their Higher Secondary Examination. Thus there are relaxation of seats in term sof reservation in this format of entrance exam also.

The candidates should be both mentally as well as physically fit and should posses any criminal records.
