Admission Procedure in Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management

Admission process of the institute is done as per directions issued by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Those who have qualified HSC course can seek admission to bachelor level courses. Admissions are carried out on merit basis.

Graduation from any of the UGC/AICTE recognized University is the basic qualification for MBA. The qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 50% marks. Reserved category candidates needs to have at least 45% marks to apply. Selection of suitable candidates is done on the basis of Madhya Pradesh Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal (VYAPAM) Management Entrance test (VYAPAM MP MET), Group Discussion and Interview.

VYAPAM MP MET comprises of 200 objective model questions which should be answered within time duration of 3 hours. There will be questions based on reading comprehension, numerical ability, business data interpretation, data sufficiency, business judgement and verbal ability.

Admission to MCA course is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in Madhya Pradesh Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal (VYAPAM) Pre MCA Entrance test (VYAPAM MP Pre MCA). Eligibility for attending the exam is much similar to that required for VYAPAM MP MET, but with a difference. In this case, bachelor degree holders must have studied mathematics as a subject either at 12th or graduation. The test comprises questions from fundamentals of mathematics, computer science, numerical and logical ability.

Candidates who have joined the institute can avail of campus placements facility in final year or pre final year. The training and placement cell of the institute facilitates students with soft skill training programs and provides them with opportunities for placement. HDFC Bank, Tata International Ltd, Asian Paints, etc are some of the companies visited the institute for placement.
