Admission process in Government Engineering College, Ajmer

Admission to the MCA course is done through the Rajasthan MCA Admission Test (RMCAAT). Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science are eligible to apply. RMCAAT is an objective type examination carrying a total of 200 questions.  Candidates are required to complete the question paper within 2 hours. The examination is divided into three sections:

  • Elementary Computer Knowledge
  • Mathematical Ability
  • Reasoning and Aptitude

Admission to the MBA course is based on the Rajasthan Management Admission Test (RMAT). The examination contains 200 objective type questions to be answered in 120 minutes. Questions will be asked from the following sections:

  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Reasoning

Admissions to Master of Technology courses will be done through the Centralized Admission for M. Tech (CAM). Candidates are required to apply online.

Admission to the Bachelor of Technology courses is based on the marks secured in the Rajasthan Pre-Entrance Test (RPET). The examination contains 40 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates who have completed the 10+2 level with a minimum of 45% marks or an equivalent from a recognized board are eligible to apply. Candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics as subjects. Admission for candidates outside the state of Rajasthan will be based on the marks secured in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).

Candidates can gain admission to the courses through the specified entrance examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a counseling session. Candidates are required to remit the specified fee at the time of counseling.
