Malabar College of Engineering and Technology (CET) offers B.Tech courses in different engineering streams like Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Automobile Engineering. Candidates can also apply for M.Tech courses in different specialization streams like Thermal engineering, Environmental engineering and Applied Electronics and Communication System. In order to get selected for B.Tech courses, it is compulsory for candidates to clear and obtain a valid score in any of the entrance examinations like AIEEE or CET–K. B.E/B.Tech graduates become eligible to apply for M.Tech courses in the concerned discipline. It is compulsory to clear Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam to get admission for M.Tech courses in this institute.

Admission Process in Malabar College of Engineering and Technology

In order to apply for B.Tech courses in any of the engineering streams, candidates must complete 12th class in science stream from any of the recognized Universities or institutes. It is compulsory to study Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as subjects in 12th class. They should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in this level to apply for B.Tech programme.  The admission process is done on the basis of the score obtained in a common engineering entrance examination. Scores obtained in common entrance examinations like All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) or Common Entrance Test –Kerala (CET –K) are considered for admission. Selected students are short listed on the basis of the entrance examination score for further selection procedures. Candidates can attend the open counseling process if getting selected on the basis of entrance examination score.

Those candidates who possess either a B.E or B.Tech course are eligible to apply for M.E or M.Tech courses in specific streams. Candidates need to qualify Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in order to seek admission. The final decision of candidate’s selection will depend on the specific score obtained in GATE exam. Confirmation on admission is given only after document verification process.
