Union Bank of India shortly called as UBI came into existence in the year 1919 and it is presently one of the largest public sector banks in the nation. The headoffice of the bank is located in the city of Mumbai and the bank has 1200 ATMs located in different parts of the nation. Recruitment by UBI:

Union Bank of India has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Credit Officer and the details regarding the notification issued by the bank for this position is given below:

Name of the Position: Credit Officer (MMGS-III)

Number of positions: Total number of vacancies is 450, which is divided among different categories as follows:

SC – 68

ST – 37

OBC – 129

UR – 216

Of the total 450 positions, 5 vacancies each is reserved for OC, HI and VI candidates.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be appointed under MMGS-III grade.

Eligibility Conditions:

Education: candidates must be degree holders from a recognized university or they should possess equivalent qualification with not less than 60% (55% for reserved category) of marks in the final year of the degree course. In the case of candidates, who have completed their professional course like CS/ICWA/CA after completion of higher secondary, degree qualification is not required. However, these candidates must have completed their inter level in these courses in maximum two attempts and final level in maximum three attempts. In addition, candidates must have done certificate course in computer awareness & office automation for a duration of minimum 60 hours from a reputed computer training institution. However, this requirement is not applicable to candidates, who have completed their gradation/post graduation with computer knowledge or awareness as a part of their course curriculum. Candidates with qualifications like diploma in banking & finance, CAIIB, JAIIB, MBA, CS, ICWA and CA will be given preference in the process of selection.

Application fee:

Before applying online, candidates will have to pay Rs.300 for general and OBC candidates and Rs.50 for others towards application fee at any branch of UBI all over India through the challan that can be downloaded from page no.22 of the following link: http://www.unionbankofindia.co.in/UserFiles/CreditOfficerIBPSAD27080609.pdf. The candidate copy of the challan with printed copy of online application should be produced by the candidates at the time of interview.

How to apply:

Application should be submitted online after payment of application fee from the link showing ‘on-line application for officers 2011’ from 12th of September to 1st of October 2011. Once online application is submitted along with the details of fee payment challan, the system generated application should be preserved for submission during interview.

Last Date to submit online application: 1st October 2011
