The Life Insurance Company of India conducts exams annually to recruit eligible individuals for the post of Development Officers. Recruitment is conducted on the basis of scores obtained in written test as well as personal interview. Graduation in any discipline is the minimum educational qualification required. Candidates who have completed MBA in Marketing will be given priority. Minimum age prescribed for applying is 21 years. Written test will contain objective type questions. The duration of the test is two hours. Candidates are required to apply online for the recruitment process. The application fees is Rs 300/-.

Eligibility Criterion

Candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline approved by recognized Universities are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 55 % marks in the qualifying exam. Candidates belonging to reserved category require only 40 % marks to be eligible. Candidates who have completed Masters Degree in Business Administration in Marketing or Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from a recognized University are preferred. Candidates should be at least 21 years of age at the time of application. Upper age limit is 30 years.  Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

Selection procedure includes written test and personal interview. Candidates can expect objective type multiple choice questions in the written test. The duration of the test is two hours. Questions will be asked from topics such as logical reasoning, Numerical ability, General awareness and English Language. There will be 50 questions from each section.  There will be a total of two hundred questions. Each question carries one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Candidates who have qualified the Written Test will be informed about the personal Interview. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained in written test as well as in personal interview.

How to apply?

All the candidates are advised to apply online as there are no other modes to apply for the examination. Candidates have to apply online after obtaining the receipt of the payment made at any of the LIC cash collection centres. The application fee is Rs 300/-.  The candidates who are eligible to apply can login to the official website of LIC for successfully submitting the application form. After submitting the applications online the candidates are provided with a unique registration number which has to be used for all future references.
