Profile:

The Rubber Board was established as a statutory body by the Government of India. The board was established under the Rubber Act 1947. The major objective behind the establishment of the board was to provide help in the overall development of the rubber industry in the country. The importance of rubber production in the country was realized by the government during the Second World War period. The demands from the growers resulted in the establishment of a permanent organisation to look after the development of rubber industry in the country.
