Central Agricultural University is affiliated to University Grants Commission. The university was established in the year 1993 under Government of India. The university is located at Iroisemba, manipur. Mr. S. N. Puri is the present Vice Chancellor of the university. The university actually came into existence under an act of Parliament i.e. Central Agricultural University Act 1992. The university comes under Department of Agricultural Research and Education. The university is consist of seven different colleges named College of Agriculture (Imphal), College of Fisheries (Lembucherra), College of Home Science (Tura) etc.
