DU PGMET 2010




Delhi University Post Graduate Medical/Dental Entrance Test(DU PGMET) is an entrance exam for admission to the post graduate medical and dental courses MD/MS/PG Diploma and MDS in University of Delhi. DU PGMET is conducted by University of Delhi Faculty of Medical Sciences. The examination is conducted in the capital region of Delhi only. There is a reservation in all these courses for the candidates who have done their MBBS/BDS from Delhi University.

Post graduate Medical and Dental Courses are available in four institutes in University of Delhi which are Lady Harding Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College,V.P. Chest Institute and University College of Medical Sciences. A large number if students appear for DU PGMET every year and the competition is quite tough.

Eligibility criteria:

For MD/MS/PG Diploma:

Candidate must have MBBS for admission to MD/MS/PGD courses from a recognised institute.  Those who will be able to complete their internship by May End can also apply.

For MDS:

Candidate must have BDS for admission to MDS from a recognised institute.  Those who will be able to complete their internship by May End can also apply.

Availability of Application forms for UPPGMEE 2010:

The forms for DU PGMET are expected to be available by December in Faculty of Medical Sciences, Delhi University. The form can also be obtained by post from Faculty of Medical Sciences, Delhi University by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Important Dates(Tentative):

Date of Entrance Examination: February 2nd week, 2010
Availability of Application Forms by hand: December 3rd week, 2009-January 3rd week, 2010
Availability of Application Forms by Post: December 3rd week, 2009-January 1st week week, 2010
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms:January 3rd week, 2010

2. M.S: General Surgery, Obstetrics &, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Otorhinolaryngology.
PG MDS COURSES:
Prosthodontics, Crown Bridge, Aesthetic Dentistry and Oral Implantology; Conservative, Endodontics & Aesthetic Dentistry; Orthodontics & Dentrofacial Orthopaedics; Periodontology & Oral Implantology.
PG DIPLOMA COURSES:
Anaesthesiology (DA) Dermatology; Venereology and Leprosy (DDVL) Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO), Ophthalmology (DO), Otorhinolaryngology (DLO), Paediatrics (DCH), Radio- Diagnosis (DMRD), Radiation Medicine (DRM), Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases (DTCD), Health Administration (DHA) and Health Education (DHE).
