Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was founded in the year 1962 under Government of India. Mr. Vineeet Joshi is the presetn Chairman of the board. Ministry of Human Resource Development is the parent organization of the board. The headquarter of the board is located at New Delhi. The first ever board that was set up in the country was in the year 1921 i.e. Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education. All the Kendriya Vidyalayas and schhols of NCT of Delhi are affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education. The board has total eight regional offices located in different states of India.

Job Profile:

Central Board of Secondary Education is intiving applications for Walk-In-Interview from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the vacant posts of Education Officer and Consultant. Selected candidates will be recruited on short term contract basis. The posts are purely of temporary nature. Selected candidates will be recruited only at the CBS offices located in Delhi region. Posts of Education Officer are available in the areas of Monitoring & Mentoring, Teacher Training, Strategic Management & Leadership and Coordination.

Eligibility:

For the post of Education Officer: Interested candidates are required to have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 62 years.

For the post of Consultant: Interested candidates are required to have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 60 years.

There may be relaxation available in the upper age limit set for reserved categories candidates as per the rules and regulations of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Education Officer: Post Graduation in concerned discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate is the minimum educational qualification that is need to be possessed by the candidates. Degree in Teacher education is also required with working knwoledge of Hindi and English language.

Consultant: Candidates must have done Post Graduation in the concerned subject or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Minimum 5 years experience in the relevant field is also required with excellent communication skill.

Education Officer: Only 4 posts are available.
Consultant: Only 6 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Education Officer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 55000-70000 per month.
Consultant: Consolidated salary of Rs. 30000-50000 per month.

Selection Process:

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in the Walk-In-Interview that will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education on 29 February 2012 from 10 AM onwards. Candidates will have to qualify in the Walk-In-Interview test for getting selected on their desired position.
