Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) is a group company of Indian Oil. It is also known as Madras Refineries Limited (MRL). The company was established in the year 1965 as a result of the joint venture between the Government of India and AMOCO and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). There are two refineries of CPCL with a combined refining capacity of 10.5 Million Tonnes Per Annum. LPG, Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel are few of the main products of the company.
