Company Profile: SAIL, a very familiar name to every Indian. An organisation, which is undoubtedly very much connected to every Indian’s regular life. The company produces a large number of steel products. If its history is traced back it is seen that, Hindustan Steel Private Limited was established on 19th January, 1954. HSL was initially started to handle the steel plant at Rourkela. But afterwards completion of other steel plants such as Bhilai, Durgapur there was a need of one managing organisation. Thus a new centralised organisation came up on 24th January, 1973 known as SAIL, Steel Authority of India. Today it is the most trusted Steel organisation of India.
Job Profile: The Company is planning for a huge expansion in near future which includes job of building or adding new facilities in the company, which will emphasise on state of the art green technology. The
Eligibility Criterion: The students having B.tech degree from the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Electronics & Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Civil, Ceramics and Computer Science from a recognized university with minimum marks of 65% in all years/semester (50%for SC/ST) are eligible to apply for the post. Students having degree of MCA with 65% (50% for SC/ST) are also eligible. Age limits for general students is 30 years, for SC/ST it is 35, For OBC it is 33 & for physically handicapped people it is 40 years.
Notes for Candidates: Eligible candidates will have to appear for an objective type written test in July 2010. The candidates clearing this test will have to appear for an Interview or GD. Fee is to be deposited by Pay-in-slip in any branch of SBI (account No. 3076176945) at CAG Branch, New Delhi, on behalf of SAIL. Also pay Rs.25 extra for bank charges.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates will have to apply online through SAIL’s website. Then the candidate is required to download the system generated Registration slip with unique registration number and other details with space for passport size photograph and signature. This is to be posted to Steel Authority of India Limited, Post Bag No. 10, Lodhi Road Post Office, New Delhi -110003
