United Bank of India shortly called as UBI is one among the 14 major banks that were nationalized in the year 1969 on the 19th of July. The predecessor of this bank was formed in the year 1950 when four banks were amalgamated. Therefore, the origin of the UBI dates back to 1914 during which year one among the four banks that were amalgamated for formation of UBI was established.

United Bank of India has invited applications from retired bank officers for the positions of Financial Inclusion Supervisors and Financial Inclusion Consellors and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Name of the Vacancies: Financial Inclusion Supervisors, Financial Inclusion Counselors

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 112, which is divided among the two positions as follows:

Financial Inclusion Supervisors – 105 posts

Financial Inclusion Counsellors – 05 posts

Period of contract: The period of Contract will be initially for one year

Remuneration: Pay scales fixed for each of the position are given below:

Financial Inclusion Supervisor: appointed candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs.10000 pm during the period of contract. If the contract is renewed, they will get a pay of Rs.11000 per month and again if it is renewed after completion of two year of services, they will get a remuneration of Rs.12000 per month. Financial Inclusion Counsellor: Appointed candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs.12000 pm during the period of contract. If the contract is renewed, they will get a pay of Rs.13000 per month and again if it is renewed after completion of two year of services, they will get a remuneration of Rs.14000 per month. Selection procedure:

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the interview. Applications received will be properly acknowledged and recorded by the respective ROs and preliminary scrutiny will be done by ROs, who will then send them to the list of HRM Department head office for final scrutiny. Finally shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.

How to apply:

Interested retired bank officers, will have to deposit their applications at appropriate regional offices of the bank before the 05th of January 2012. Application should accompany photograph and should be submitted in the respective regional offices of the bank, where such ex-officer will be engaged as Financial Inclusion Supervisor/Financial Inclusion Counsellor.
