Hi Friends,
I'm a silent member of this group, these groups are alot helpful...and i have benefited from it too.....
By God's grace, i made to the final list of CTS.
so coming to the interview....
When they ask you "Tell me about yourself" ?
Dont relate every details about your family, and other stuff, remember the Interviewer is looking for a match with the position vacant in his organization to that of your capabilities.
So jus relate your Education background and stop with that...
eg. say u have done so and so graduation, and if you r a PG say so..and tell them what makes your subjects different to that of other Course i.e...
so and so technology was part of your curriculum.

Do some of the homework say...jus before the interview day ..go thru the company's website indentify their areas of operations, and solutions they are providing.
Then say since you have already dealt with the basics ,done as part of  your curriculum or project or experience you would be a perfect match for the position.

I said .."since we had EAI,Data Warehousing ,SPM,SRT as part of our curriculum..and Cognizant is also in to these fields and providing services..i'did be a match...

And since i have a bit of experience in Telecom,Financial services, also having given presentations i can communicate effectively..."

So there should, will be one or other thing that you all will have that you can match with the organization's interests.

If you have experience tell them that it'll help you contribute faster compared to other recruits.

Communicate effectively,speak loud,convey accomplishments appropriately.

Then technical round ..its again our skill...there is only one strategy ..accept honestly that you don't know if your doubtful.(dont 4get to smile saying so).

"I'm afraid i cant get into the details of this as i'm not aware of the indepths of it, but i'm sure given ample time i can come up with some interesting facts" --this would make an appropriate answer but not that good !

Lastly ,when asked "Do you have any questions" ?

Ask what the position would be like....?
Talk about the Organizations long term goals say its R&D,or future plans
eg..
" I'm deeply overwelmed after a short scan at the company's website about the interest fields and research areas the Company is trying to focus on.. as a part of its longterm achievements"---if the company is an MNC ask them "is Indian Offshore is contributing to this initiative." ----would also be appropriate but not that great..!

I asked about RFID that Cognizant was planning which matures in 2007.

Guys, all that i have related is not one stop solutn for any interview ...its what homework i have done and that clicked !...but i believe u almost have 70 % chances getting the job and the remaining is GOD's will.

Ok guys, GOD has in store something for everyone of us.Its jus time...

All the best ...

Regards
Sagar.
