Exam Pattern for ONGC: The candidates will have to qualify in both the written exam and interview for finally short listed to this post. The written exam of the ONGC consists of two papers on the following: General Awareness and Subject Specialization Paper 1: General Awareness There will be a total of 50 questions out of which 40 questions are to be compulsorily attempted. There will be objective type questions of 1 mark each and descriptive type questions of 5 marks each. The questions can be of the following types: The judicial system of India constitutes how many judges? Or Tell the location of a country if it is 12 hours GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) ahead of others? Or What will be the radius of the circle if it is inscribed in an equilateral triangle with sides 2 root 3 units? Etc. Paper 2: Specialization Subjects There will be a total of 75 questions from the subjects studied under specialization by the candidates. The candidates must attempt 60 questions compulsorily for qualifying in this paper. The pattern of the questions will be objective type and descriptive type both. The objective type questions are of 1.5 marks each and descriptive questions of 5 mark each respectively.
