Sir, I have done a polytechnic diploma in civil engineering after passed 12th. Is it equivalent to graduation. Can I appear in graduation level examination. Some of my teachers told me that after 12th any diploma of 3 years is equivalent to graduation.

No, the three Diploma course after 12th standard is not equivalent to graduation. Graduation course is the next level after completion of Diploma course. Candidates who have passed Diploma course are eligible to get direct admission in second year of Bachelor's degree course. If you want to be a graduate then, you have to pursue Bachelor's degree course after completion of your three years Diploma course.

No, you cannot appear in Graduate level examination's with just after completion of 3 years Diploma course. Basically there is a certain educational qualification required to be eligible for appearing in Government job opportunities.

Sorry, to inform you that polytechnic diploma in civil engineering is not equivalent to graduation and you are not eligible to apply for graduation level examinations, but after diploma course you can apply for bachelor’s degree through lateral entry. In lateral entry procedure for bachelor’s degree you can get direct admission in 2nd year of graduation degree course that means your duration of bachelors degree is reduced to 3 years from 4 years.

Sorry to inform you that diploma of 3 years after completion of 12th standard is not equivalent to any bachelor degree/graduation. In order to be eligible for graduation level examinations such as SSC CGL, UPSC, State PSC, Bank PO, etc. you must have to complete graduation degree.

I have passed 10, 12 and 3 Years Diploma and finally done MA in Open University, now i am graduate or not
