Re: How to prepare for medical entrance exams? Which books to opt for?
mp kaushik in botany and r k pillai zoology and organic chemistry morrisson and boyd. ABC of biology 11th and 12th is must for bio.
Besides, if you want to practice for the exam, try getting stuff from www.samplepapershop.com. Theirs is a new website so they provide real quality practice. The look n feel is not too great and download process is little long, but serves a good deal to prepare for the exam. Content is not outdated like brilliant etc. I have even ordered sets of question papers from them. |

Re: How to prepare for medical entrance exams? Which books to opt for?
You can follow these simple steps to get success in your medical entrance exam as under-
1. Focus on your Study and Goal. 2. Give regular practice test and figure out your mistake committed in the previous Examination and promise yourself to avoid them in your next exam. 3. Complete scan and analyze the questions you could not attempt in the practice exam with the help of suggested answers if any. 4. Plan your revision schedule as early as possible and follow the same honestly and keep reviewing it and make necessary changes as and when necessary. 5. Invest your time in Exam oriented discussion. 6. Use abbreviation method. If you have 10 points to remember in a question give them a certain abbreviation and remember that abbreviation. 7. Stay away from Time wasting and unproductive habits. At least during exam times. 8. When exams are approaching, do not add any new topic in your schedule. Just focus on revision-revision and revision. 9. Stop collecting different notes per day. Try and figure out the notes which are relevant for you and support your style of study. Only use them for exam purpose. 10. Take very good care of your health. Consider your health as a subject. Remember if you fail to perform well in this subject you are going to fail. You can refer the following books as under- Phy: HC Verma, Resnick-Halliday Chem: NCERT, Arihant Organic Chem Bio: Trueman Elementary Biology (Bhatia & Tyagi) biology-arihant or pradeeps chem-pradeeps phy-hc verma maths-rd sharma |

Re: How to prepare for medical entrance exams? Which books to opt for?
Hi friend…..
1. The books: Phy: HC Verma, Resnick-Halliday Chem: NCERT, Arihant Organic Chem Bio: Trueman Elementary Biology (Bhatia & Tyagi) 2. The school: Believe me even if some people say you should prefer non-attending ones. Going to a real school in +2 keeps your morale up, motivates you to compete with others, maintains a friendly environment, brings you in contact with contemporary people and helps you with good teachers to ask doubts. 3. Tuition/Coaching: I'm doing without this part, but if you really need support, don't hesitate. There are teachers in the market who care for their stomach. There are more who care both for you and their stomach. There are more who care only for you. Choose the better of them. The third kind is hard to find. Crash course may hit the mark. 4. Time management: Its December, yes. Its late? No. You might do as well if you force yourself from now. Be serious, be bold and face whatever. Try to give in as much time as you can, and give balanced time to all subjects, slightly more to biology, because in some exams, bio carries double the marks of physics or chemistry. Try to memorize everything you read from the very first time, as if the exam were tomorrow. And from February, start solving questions - more than 500 a day from various topics in all subjects, changing subjects when you feel bored of one. Bio is made with the maximum speed. Try doing 100 Biology questions within 1 hour. All the friend….. |
