IAS is Indian Civil Service and also it is one of the Indian Civil service exam.

As per the standards no diploma holders are eligible for the IAS exam as the criteria says only candidates who have done their degree from a recognized university are only eligible for the IAS exam as per the education qualification.

Having done diploma you don't have chances of applying for the IAS exam.

The other criteria's like age limits may include:

For Genreal category candidates it is 21-30 years.

For SC/ST category candidates it is 21-35 years.

For OBC category candidates it is 21-33 years.

sorry to say that but my friend, you are not eligible for this exam because for appearing in this exam you shoulde have to complete your graduation whatever may be the stream is.
Whats the hurry you first complete your graduation further in the subject of your choice.You can take admission in BE/B.Tech
Also in the mean while keep on preparing for IAS.Its not a one night or a months thing.
It requires a lot of determination,confidence and most important is patience.Its good you have decided early. So you can choose your subjects for IAS for a start and try to gain as much knowledge as you can about it.

the eligiblity required for appearing in the UPSC exam is a bachelor degree from a stream in which you have interest . There is nothing like a specific degree for applying for the exam. The age general category aspirant must be within 30 for applying for the exam. Above which you will not be eligible for applying the exam. The UPSc exam consist of written exam which has aptitude and main examination followed by the written exam is the personnel interview

Yes you are absolutely eligible to apply for IAS Examination.Because basic qualification is graduation for IAS Exam and there is no specific graduate degree for IAS Exam and any eligible candidate can apply for the Exam.Civil service Exam is conducted every year by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).Only thing the candidate should have a graduate degree and the age should be 21 - 30 yrs of age as on August 1st of the year of examination.Relaxation as per govt.rules.The entrance exam is divided into two parts.One is the preliminary and other one is main Examination.The candidate are selected for the main examination only after they clear the preliminary examination.So don't worry you are eligible for examination.
