Hello Sir/Madam,
This is Dheeraj here. I have completed my Diploma in Electronics and Communication. I want to study B.com, but i have not done my PUC can i go directly for B.com. Because, i cant do engineering as i should have 2 years of experience if i want to study in evening college.

after completion of Diploma (EEE) can we join normal degree course (i.e. B.com or B.A)

Higher Secondary Education is the minimum educational qualification for B.Com. Candidates who have not completed Higher Secondary Course can do Bachelors Preparatory Programme offered by IGNOU and can join B.Com in IGNOU. There is no age limit for Bachelors Preparatory Programme. Duration of this course is 6 months to 2 years. There is no upper age limit for B.com in IGNOU.

It is not possible to apply for B.Com without having completed 12th. No university will give you admission for B.Com with diploma in Engineering degree. This is completely out of the picture.


What you can do is apply for the Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) offered by the IGNOU. This programme is especially designed for candidates who have not completed 10+2 therefore are deprived of higher education.


Such candidates can appear for the Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) and after completing it, they would get admission for the BA/B.Com/B.Sc graduation course.


Course Details

1. The minimum age limit is 18 years.

2. There is no maximum age limit.

3. No qualification criteria for Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP).

4. Minimum duration of the course is 6 months.

5. Maximum duration of the course is 2 years.

6. The course fee is Rs 850/-


To pass this course you will have to appear for the term end examination. Only candidates who manages to score 36%marks in the term-end examination will be sent letter by the IGNOU for the admission in first year of graduation course.

Sorry to say that with out having a 12th class degree you can't get admission

In the Bachelor of Commerce Graduate degree and also their is no university who can

Give you admission in any regular course or in the distance course but their is a way

To get admission that you can do the B.TECH Course which is also equivalent to the degree and you can get admission in the course and you have to appear in the LET Exam which is conducted every year and if you get good marks in the exam than you will get admission in the good college or institute ..

Also if you just want to take admission in the B.COM Than first complete your 12th either in the Open exam or better would be to take commerce in and complete 11th and 12th

As i am a commerce students that if you take admission directly in the b.com you will face huge problem if you don't have commerce at 12th level as you don't understand accounts or the business subject As 11th is the base class of the commerce and with out it .It will be difficult for you to get complete graduation with quality education

But final decision is your's choose the option which you likes

Hi madam, This is akhila. I have completed my diploma in civil branch. I want to do B.com. I have no idea after doing diploma. And I am not interested in btech, then how to study B.com after completing diploma in civil engineering.

I have done b.com in ignou but I couldn't succeed in my final year exams as I got married and took sabbatical though I attended. 2010 I joined b.com and it's been 7 yrs now. can i take supplementary for my backlogs of final year. am I eligible to do that? please help me as am working and also have a child and I am doing my teacher training simultaneously.

Hello, I've done my Diploma in Electrical and Electronics after SSLC. And i have no interest to do BE or B.tech, and i desire being an English Professor.. So what should i study to reach my Desire.

First, with the diploma in engineering after class 10, you can apply Btech through lateral entry, or You can do AMIE, if you want to do graduation in engineering.
If you want BCom, after diploma in engineering you can apply for any college in the time of admission. Many universities like "IGNOU" will give you admission if you want to do BCom or BA. You can also apply for CA if you have interest in BCom. So don't worry, IGNOU will give you admission.

Yes, you can. There are a few universities in India which consider a student from any stream (after 12th or 3 Year Diploma after 10th) for B. Com.

You can not go for B. Com Hons because in few Universities Eligibility Criteria for B.Com Hons. is that the candidate must have studied and passed Mathematics / Business Mathematics at the qualifying examination (12th) for admission to B.Com Hons.

It is not a complicated process you just enroll the B.ed course in the best educational institute.
