Eligibility To write This Exam You must be At least 10 passed

Notification for CPT June exam has been published officially. You can download it from this Attachment, & Alternatively the candidate may fill up the examination application form online at www.icaiexam.icai.org from 4thApril,2011 ( 10:00 hrs) to 25thApril, 2011 ( 17:30hrs) and remit the fee online by using either VISA or Master Credit / Debit Card.

In contrast to CPT Exam, One pencil mode exam on 19 June 2011

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only to those students who are already registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the said course on or before 1st April ,2011 and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.

September, October & November every year for each & every city / state.

CA - CPT Eligibility

The candidate who has passed 10+2 can appear in CA - CPT exam. The candidate who is awaiting for their results for 10+2 may also appear in CA - CPT exam.

The higer qualified candidate who has completed their graduation i.e. B.com, M.com, ICWA can appear for CA - CPT exam.

Syllabus

Section I has two parts

Section 'A' Fundamental of Accounting(60 marks)

Section 'B' Mercantile Law(40 marks)

Section II has two parts

Section 'A' General Economic(50 marks)

Section 'B' Quantitative Aptitude(50 marks)

examination fee and Rs. 100/- towards cost of CA CPT Exam 2011 application form and
CPT June 2011 Information brochure) per CPT June 2011 application form.

The procedure can be summarised as below:-
Pass CPT examination
Register/Enroll for Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)
Complete 9 months of Study Course.
Complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT).
Complete Orientation Course (35 hours spread over one week).
Pass Group I or both Groups of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE).
Register as Articled Assistant for a period of 3 years.
Pass Group II of IPCC if not already passed.
Appear in Final Examination during last 6 months of 3 years of articled training.
Pass both the Groups of Final examination.
Get Final Examination Certificate.
Complete remaining period of articled training, if applicable
Complete Course on General Management and Communication Skill
Enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as "Chartered Accountant"

Common Proficiency Test CPT Exam for the year June 2011, conducted in following modes :

* Paper Pencil Mode of CPT June 2011 Examination – Sunday, the 19th June, 2011

I. Common Proficiency Test (Paper-Pencil Mode)

The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) Paper-Pencil mode Examination will be held on Sunday, the 19th June, 2011 in accordance with the revised scheme of education, training and examination of the Chartered Accountancy Course.

II. The next Common Proficiency Test (CPT June 2011) (Paper-Pencil Mode) of the Institute will be held on 19th June, 2011 at the following centres :

First Session (i.e. Morning Session) 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST)
Section - A Fundamentals of Accounting
Section - B Mercantile Laws
Second Session (i.e. Afternoon Session) 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM (IST)
Section - C General Economics
Section - D Quantitative Aptitude

The CPT exam is conducted by the ICAI organization every year.

The exam is conducted in 2 modes:

Mode 1:Online Exam

Mode 2:Offline Exam(Paper and pencil mode).

The dates for the exam in the online mode have not been declared as of yet due to certain technical reasons.However as soon as the technical issues are solved, the dates will be notified on the official website.

The exam in the paper and pencil mode will be held as per schedule on 19th June 2011.
